I was born in the UK but also spend 10 years growing up in Turkiye. After studying in Manchester, UK I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Russia, Cambodia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. I then quit my job and completed a months mandatory military service in Turkiye. I then started teaching English online and I've been doing that for almost a year.

My hobbies include cycling, hiking, going to the gym and jogging, so that I can sustain my other hobbies of eating and drinking way too much!

I'm fairly chill, and like getting to know new people :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I've never used Couchsurfing as a traveller before, although I have hosted a few times. I'm going to work online, travelling around Central and South America. I'm looking to use Couchsurfing as a way to find places to stay while looking for a little more permanent accommodation, and as a way to meet new friends! :)

Interessen

I spend my free time playing piano/ukulele, drawing, watching films, playing playstation, reading, swimming and cooking and eating delicious food! I also like going to a local bar for a few beers. I also love raving, but have done it less and less with age :)

I love any activities that are like playing! From basketball and ice skating to board games and charades. I don't need to be good at something to enjoy it :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love a lot of genres of music. Some of my favourite genres are Techno, Jungle, Hiphop, Classical, Funk, Industrial, Breakbeat, Ambient and Folk. But the list is pretty endless.

My favourite film of all time is 'Dead Mans Shoes' which is a brilliant production starring Paddy Constantine and directed by Shane Meadows (the guy who did 'This Is England'). A close second would have to be the original 'Old Boy' film! I also like 'Pi' and 'Drive'.

My favourite book is pretty cliche, but 'Catcher in The Rye'. 'Notes From the Underground' is a close second! At the moment I'm reading 'Paper' by Mark Kurlansky, it's a history of paper and how it's affected civilisations across the world!

I'm happy to share travel stories and enjoy chatting, but I also appreciate the value of silence, so there's never any pressure to keep me entertained! I carry my Playstation around with me, just in case anyone wants to play fifa or something (you'll probably beat me).
