Left the rat-race behind and set out to live the dream. I'm a captain for a small commuter airline. I have a good job, and great travel benefits...sand, sea, cold beer and topless beaches, every pilot's dream.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope I can help out anyone traveling St Maarten. Whether it be a night or two on the couch, just killing time with good conversation at a beachbar, or the simplest of details/directions for a planned vacation.

I do work and travel quite a bit so advanced notice is appreciated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well unrelated to the site, I've stayed on a few couches. The last such instance I was visiting a colleague who moved to switzerland and crashed in a spare room. Having friends in new places of travel is fantastic since you learn much more about the culture, and you simply don't feel like much of a tourist at all with them around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Glided the Swiss Alps, and as we circled the Matterhorn, two mountaineers made the summit...It was simply amazing flying 500 feet from them.
