About Me

I AM CURRENTLY LIVING IN SHIGA JAPAN. ABOUT 1 HOUR OUTSIDE OF OSAKA. THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A WAY TO CHANGE IT FROM OSAKA. SORRY. I'm free to meet people in Kyoto though, so if you're going to Kyoto, message me.

CURRENT MISSION

To meet new people , travel as much as possible before I'm dead, and enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Halifax Canada, but I lived in Calgary Alberta for 10 years while growing up, and my family now lives in Victoria BC.

I live in Japan and I love my job!

PHILOSOPHY

Do your best in anything you do, and try not to piss anyone off.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I decided to join CS because I have friends who are members and I have met other CSers from around the world.

Interests

I like traveling, but haven't done much traveling internationally. I have been to many, many places within Japan tho, as well as Korea, the UK and the Hong Kong and Istanbul airports (Istanbul has a great airport!)

I like martial arts and would do them more if joining a dojo wasn't so expensive in Japan.

I play the Koto, and have for about 4 years. It's great!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge Science/Speculative Fiction fan. I love SF movies and TV shows, as well as books. My favorite authors are Harlan Ellison and Robert Heinlein.

I have found over the years that I like at least a little bit of every kind of music, although enka is a little bit of a stretch! Haha!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji, experienced the quiet solitude of the UN graveyard in Pusan South Korea, eaten blowfish and not died, cried a little when served turtle soup, and failed miserably in my attempts to learn Japanese. Such is life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan
