I'm an outgoing gal who loves to travel! I love to discover places that are hidden gems, and generally enjoy seeing a place I'm visiting based on suggestions by local people as opposed to travel guides.

I enjoy letting a trip unfold and leading me to places as I go along, as opposed to planning an itinerary.

My friends have nicknamed me "champagne hippie" - which I think is a decent handle... as I am typically just as happy and comfortable in a hut on the beach as I am in a upscale hotel (as long as there is a great view)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend gave this a try and I was a little surprised as she is a 5 star resort kinda gal - and she is not having the time of her life on her first couch surfing adventure.

I have no problem meeting people, but I love the idea of being greeting by someone who loves where they live and who wants to show it off visitors!
