🌏👣☺️

I’m a newbie doctor in Hong Kong, raised n born to be ‘successful’ and yet after achieving all this, I fail to find genuine passion and motivation in a ‘stable life’.

I’m confused and struggling hard in my Quarter Life Crisis - but I am happy to gain much more progress in connecting with my inner emotions, needs and body, sensations recently. I want to live deep, with passion, rather than out of fear.

I have been solo travelling and using CS since 2022 and I never felt more alive than when I’m solo travelling. Its such, such a sweet blessing that I get to immerse fully and feel the world in its purist form with my purist soul. I realised, the further I’m away from my hometown, far away from familiar language/ culture/ society, the closer I get towards my heart. I dont have to play the characters/ put on the labels to find my value or identity, but appreciate my solemn presence.

I love solo travelling, not only as aforementioned, but also to meet all vivid and colourful souls flourishing and blooming in all colours, shapes, languages and beliefs. I value the connection between humans, though short when travelling, but never defies its beauty and importance. I’m very happy to still stay connected with many of my friends whom I met along my travels. All stories have been bright sparkles to my life, enlightening me (hopefully you too!) to embrace what is deeply wanted and needed inside - when clearing off the ‘pollutions’ of outside world, not ‘achieving’ whom I shall be - and shine truest light deep inside our souls.

I am enthusiastic about basically everything - Arts, History, Religion, Gastronomy, Sports, Yoga, Outdoor Adventures. I used to be ashamed of being ‘greedy’ and ‘impatient’, but duh, I’m so so happy to be so curious about the lovely world we’re in and being always up for adventures and exploring!

• 05/2022 written after using CS on my first solo trip

There are many ways to travel, whether for leisure and relaxation, entertainment and shopping, or simply to capture stunning views and enjoy delicious cuisine. However, what I truly seek through travel is to rid myself of narrow-mindedness, arrogance, and prejudice. By immersing myself in the beauty of the world's great landscapes, I am reminded of how small I am in this vast world, which humbles me and encourages me to keep learning. By chatting with people from all walks of life, I have come to understand that there are many different ways of living and approaching life's challenges, and I have learned not to ground myself in any one particular mindset. Finally, by embracing local cultures, I have learned to appreciate the diversity of our world, and to respect all people without passing judgement.

While benefiting from the hosts around the world, to get an immersive CS experience; I would also love to contribute to this community and help traveller who visit my city to get the best experience. It had been very good reflection for me as well - how should I promote my hometown as and where would a traveller be most interested in visiting. How I view my hometown, my friends and foreigners might get very different perspective which makes me intrigued.

I love to try all kinds of activities as well - yoga, hiking, bouldering, scuba diving, snorkelling, wakesurfing… you name it, I’m down to try it!!

I am recently reading books about self-care and philosophy. At this age, having been confused and lost, I am still searching for the meaning of life and learning to love myself more. And I absolutely found peace and wisdom in books and movies, I hope to get some nice recommendations too ;)
