I am spontaneous and outgoing and a really great listener! I can tell stories for days (even if no one is listening) and I love music. All music. All the time. New music, old music... I love it all. I want to learn to play the guitar but watch out, when I do, I will play it just to speak :) I love meeting new people and I am a busy body but love my alone down time too! I'm a genuinely happy person and who is always willing to help someone out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel on a whim, never know when or where or why but I just love seeing new places - and meeting new people! I love making new friends and I appreciate others hosting me! If I am ever able to return the favor I most certainly will, however I just moved into a new place with a new roommate and cannot currently host. Most of the time I am out exploring or seeing a live music event and want to be able to enjoy my night and not have to travel home!

Interests

Concerts, Music, Cooking (I LOVE COOKING!), anything outdoors - camping, fishing, gardening, sitting by the fire, hiking, etc... I played softball my whole life - still love it, wish I was still playing although I am super rusty and much older! I enjoy running... and all things fitness! I love to dance like a fool, sing all the wrong words on purpose, make people laugh, and I love to learn new things. Traveling the world in the sunshine while cooking and listening to music would be kind of an amazing dream....

If you made me pick favorites I would go insane and we would be here for hours - too many genres! Too many classics, newbies, diehards! Favorite book hands down though: Soul of a Chef by Michael Ruhlman (told you I love to cook). Music would take hours: Shinedown is very dear to my heart and tattooed on my body, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Avett Brothers, Halestorm, Rachel Yamagata, Grace Potter, Rihanna, Bob Marley, Nicki Minaj, Paolo Nutini has my heart, Cage the Elephant, Mumford and Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show, Band of Horses, Killers, Cold War Kids, Amos Lee, Jack Johnson, Features, Fleet Foxes, Glen Hansard, Kings of Leon, Little Green Cars... Oh my stop me now...
Movies can go the same way - Bad Boys 2, Seven Pounds, P.S. I love you, Horrible Bosses, Gothika, 16 Blocks, Unbroken, Hope Floats, The Notebook (of course), Blood Diamond, Enough, Ghost, Elf, Law Abiding Citizen, Running Scared... stop me stop me... geez! Most recently, A Quiet Place really got me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I found my courage :) Courage to live and strive for the best. Ended a bad relationship, went back to school, worked 4 jobs, went to school full time and interned all at once and finished, with honors AND in the National Honors Society. I went parasailing and didn't think twice and I have been slightly scared of heights most my life. I am still reaching for the stars, but I think I'm getting pretty close. Recently left my career to pursue my passion and have soared to new heights in less than two years. I recently just moved across the country to keep that soar going - you have to spread your wings!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn Spanish, it's my native language and I have never known it. My grandmother starts stories in english, ends them in Spanish... and I'm still on the edge of my seat wondering how most of those stories turned out. I want to see more countries, I want to see the world... I need places to visit, couches to sleep on, and my passport is always on hand - so I am ready!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really love to cook - so I love to make big breakfasts if that's your thing, or dinner! However, I also love thrift shopping and great restaurants, I could walk the streets and window shop (I'm cheap) all day... find a place with live outdoor music, and we will have the time of our lives! I am easy to get a long with and love to have fun or just relax! If anything, I can share my friendship and future adventures!
