I'm Candice, a mom of 3. I am both French-Canadian and and anglophone raised and still living in the province of Quebec, Canada. My children are half Egyptian so I have strong ties to Egypt and its culture and language. I am an agnostic theist with a pull towards taoism and basically believe in having he most open-minded view of things. I love seeing how different beliefs will bring out great qualities in different individuals.

I enjoy running and other sporting activities, people-watching, appreciating nature, watching TV series and trying new food! I have a wide variety of other interests and mini-passions, I enjoy exploring different topics and learning new things.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have focused almost solely on being a mom for the past 12 years and have decided to make myself one of the priorities recently. I'm a pretty quiet and reserved person but I want to get out of my shell a little and experience life and get out of my comfort zone. I have an adventurous side that has been dormant for a while that I would love to re-discover. I joined couch-surfing to meet new people and have a link to exploring new places.

It would be my pleasure to host a single person or small family in my small town. :)

I'm about 1h away from Montreal, Quebec.

I get "into" TV series more than movies but I have watched and enjoyed the big superhero movies.
I will either read non-fiction (mostly on religion and spirituality) or YA genre.

At 18 I went to Egypt alone during my winter break from college. I ended up returning to Egypt after my session, putting my studies on hold and spending 6 months there. To this day the smell of "street" brings me back to the joy I felt in Cairo.
