About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be the change I want to see in the world.

ABOUT ME

I've always wanted to hit the road and live my travel fantasies. I want to travel to the anonymous cute little islands scattered like pearls in the South Pacific ocean(and maybe name one of them myself one day :P), to the end of our planet in the southernmost part of South America to feel if the earth is moving under my feet, to the Arctic Circle to see the Aurora and take pictures in a special corner of my head, to bustling flower markets in Nairobi to get some beautiful ones for my ear, to Eastern Europe to watch the sunset over the Danube River with a cutie(ticked off!yay:D)...These fantasies dance in my head all the time. The world's just got so much to offer, adorable people from different cultures, exotic cities everywhere and stories that I could write for my own life.I've constantly got the urge to get out of my comfort zone and see how far I could push myself. Couchsurfing is just the way to do it.I have an insatiable curiosity about almost everything.I play accordion and a little bit of guitar and am learning to play piano at the moment.I like singing with the guitar because it's when I find peace with myself in a brilliantly innocent moment.I love watching movies because I've always thought they are like all sort of lives.Well I surely don't really have a chance to live every one of them myself but I could try to feel and appreciate those within a couple of hours' time. Movies to me are space and time in a parallel world.I also fancy working out and playing sports, badminton, table tennis and skating which I suck at.I'm especially a big fan adventure and stuff, roller coasters (favs!!), bungee jumping, fighting a baboon to get back my snacks..and next on the agenda is surely touching a crocodile king!!
****wrote the above ‘manifesto’ when I was 24 and kicking up the score back in the UK doing my masters. Well people grow old including the curious ones, like me (cheeky too obviously) and now I’m 28 I still feel less of that same excitement and sensation about the possibility of traveling to soooo many destinations but still I never stop exploring new territories. Went to Africa, not Nairobi yet but Ghana, Ethiopia and South Africa. Haven’t been to South America yet but sailing my way to Mexico and probably Cuba next week. Yup getting there. Just getting on the road***
On the road I've traveled this far, I feel lucky that I've met cool/cold/warm/hot people like four seasons and show how limitless our idea about life could be.The feeling of being truly connected with someone should never be forgotten.;D

PHILOSOPHY

Isn't everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?
***hahaha from 28 year old self to 24 year old me here***
And I think my philosophy has enriched itself a little bit more. Now I believe firmly in originality and creating. Keep my eyes and heart open and fresh just for about anything coming in the way. I need to forget about what I’ve learned and always reinvent new ways.

Interests

Dogs.(a dog person!!)
I played the accordion since childhood and started to play guitar a year ago and am now learning to play the piano.YUP.I love musiiiiiiic and instruments. I love listening to rock/punk/indie/classic/jazz and singing along!! I also fancy watching movies and documentaries to know something about everything.I'm a massive fanatic about Japanese arcade games with my favorite being jukebeat! (it's a music beat game which requires very quick reaction of fingers.:D)Beer and wine and books and partying with friends are all the things I couldn't go without too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have the best parents in the world, who support me and feel for me in every way they could.
Spent my entire childhood with my beloved dog, doudou.
I built with bare hands countless bookshelves from scratch for the kids in Ghana when I was volunteering there.
I saw people could still be happy as a flower with such limited means in a hard life.
Love and to be loved...
