Hi!
I joined couchsurfing in 2014; while I was living in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, to meet people from other cultures and it worked :) I hosted nice people from different countries and cities; and also meet some nice local people from this site.
These days, I work as a mechanical engineer in a small firm. I live in a central part of Istanbul, called Ortaköy. I work through 9am to 6pm, but I am free after that most days.
Tango is a nice new interest for me for some time, so if you dance tango, definetely let me know :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel and host people as much as I can. It is a nice way of knowing people from different cultures and circles.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly hosting so far. I used to live in Russia, so most of my couchsurfing experience is from there, but now I am in Istanbul. I have some free time at evenings and weekends. I'm willing to meet new people and host them here.

Interests

Trekking is a new hobby for me, I quite enjoy it. Also I started to dance tango mid 2015. It is a great distraction from life for me. Other than these; I like travelling, photography, movies, cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music; mostly old rock bands; such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones.
Movies; my favorites are usually from Martin Scorsese, but I can watch almost anything according to state of my mind.
Books; usually classics; my favorite is Keep the Aspidistra Flying.

Teach, Learn, Share

My English is not bad; so I can teach a little English.
I'd love to learn cooking foreign foods and share some Turkish foods as much as my -very little- cooking skills allowed.
And as I said before, I started to dance tango. I am not good enough to teach but I can definetely learn from you or just practice with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a two room flat. One bedroom and one living room. I have a nice sofa and also an air mattress.
My flat is very near the city center ( 10 20 minutes to Taksim, Beşiktaş area); in a area called Ortaköy. It is a touristic part itself.
