One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 years I went to Tanzania for a UNESCO project. We lived in a village in the mountains and built a water pipeline there. That was my first very intensive contact with a non-western culture. We lived together in a village with other students... All the stories I've listened to, the circumstances and challenges... it made me realize how spoiled I grew up. That was one of the most important experiences ever for me and coined my point of view.
