Hey everyone! I'm Can, which is pronounced way different than what you probably think. But I can explain that when we meet in person. I'm from the beautiful Aegean Coast of Turkey. I've lived in a couple of different places so far; south of France for a year, and then in Sweden for a year too. Other than that I've travelled some, though it's nothing compared to a real traveller. But I'm getting there! I kinda like doing it slowly, becoming a temporary local in each place I go. Right now home is Australia, just for a little while.
From the little pebbles on the beach to magnificent celestial bodies, or from people who have saved lives to those who can twist their tongue in that weird way, I'm just fascinated by everything and everyone. I'm very trusting, I tend to believe everyone is a good person from the moment I meet them, and honestly I've been lucky enough to have never met anyone who made me change my mind. I love laughing and making people laugh, helping out, listening, sharing, seeing. Okay I think this is where I come out as a hippy. Sorry dad. I'm of the belief that the best experiences in life aren't necessarily big things like skydiving or a trip to the moon or swimming in lava and such, but a little conversation with a beautiful weirdo, watching the stars without understanding, noticing that little grass that grows from the tiniest crack on the pavement... Those are what give me the biggest astonishments. ...okay I'm just realising right now that I wasn't kidding about being a hippy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's the best thing on the internet other than that one thing that shows you the scale of the universe. (OH my god I'll put a link of that somewhere btw, it's awesome.) Things like the couchsurfing community makes me think optimistically about the future of our world. And of course I want to be a part of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I knitted a scarf once. I also once went for a swim in the Arctic Ocean, but that's not as big a deal as the scarf for me.
