ABOUT ME

Musician, Barista, Reader, Writer. So very passionate about music, coffee, food, beer, and fiber. I'm starting a new chapter in my life; Getting out of corporate retail with Barnes and Noble, looking into being a musician full time.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that all people are inherently good. I believe that people will treat you as you treat them, so one must recognize the divine in everyone. I believe that the pursuit of art and beauty are my purpose. I don't have it all figured out yet, but it's about the journey, right?

I've surfed a few times, and then the travel money ran out. Resolved to login more often to be available to show folks around Seattle!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best experiences are always with friends of friends. I went to Dresden and met some amazing people that worked in vineyards--they even gave us free bottles of wine! What open, warm, gentle people! Also had a blast with other surfers in Vienna.... the list goes on.

Interests

Playing music. Drinking small batch microbrewed beer. Great coffee shops, being a barista! Reading, reading, reading. Traveling, seeing new places. SEAFOOD! Finding the edges of my comfort zone, and then pushing them around a bit....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just played sax at the IASJ Annual Jazz Meeting in Riga Latvia. Imagine meeting six people from six different countries, getting to know them in a week and putting on an amazing concert at the end. Lifechanging!!

I have to also add that I just returned from three months on a cruise ship. wowsers. With a capital WOW.

Update:

Living in Seattle for almost FIVE YEARS. I love it here. Planning some international travel this summer.... Here we go again!

In life, there is suffering. But the beauty in suffering is that it can be overcome. How does this happen? Connection with the world, and recognizing that everyone is capable of this connection. So read, play music, listen, and open your heart. You won't be sorry. Oh, and take a voltage adapter with you when you go to Europe. ;-)
