About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To up myself a level in the life game- that is, spiritual evolution.... I'm NOT talking about socially or monetarily.

ABOUT ME

Pomosexual, genderqueer, polyamorous. Basically, take everything you think about gender and sexuality and smash it to bits- that's me. But I love and respect everyone for their own views. I just won't tolerate hatred (hah, that seems hypocritical- but its a justified oxymoron in my head).

I try to push boundaries- I'm a free bird.

I study.

Ex barista at an independent coffee shop by my school. Now, a free riding writer/musician/aspiring minimalist. I play in a psychedelic folk band called Captain Macaque and the Wire Mothers. I sing and do other random crap and my best friend Sam plays guitar and sings. I'm madly in musical love with him. We're on Facebook AND Myspace...

I'm ditching my California world to live in the Alaskan wilderness with a typewriter for the summer.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in coffee breath and typewriters. The Museum of Jurassic Technology with a coconut in hand (why? I don't know). Take life and mix it up, make a joke, a game out of it. Put yourself in crappy situations for the sake of romance, poetry, art. And, why the hell not? Maybe for wisdom. I don't know what postmodernism is, but I have a vague idea- and I like that. I dare you to try to define it. Don't send me a link to the wikipedia article because I'm read it a million times over trying to figure it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't yet. I've yet to establish my own little niche in the world. I'm enjoying that freedom at this point. I'd like to use this thing more often, but I sadly cannot offer a couch- but believe you me, someday I dream of hosting all kinds of people from all around the world to pay it back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nada for now! At least not from this website.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not enough!! Really, not enough. I've only been to 7 states and Mexico... I'm sure I'm destined to see so much more. I've played concerts to loving, open crowds, taught myself glockenspiel and melodica, overcome a fear of singing out loud, I've faced my insecurities and embraced polyamory. I've explored my own boundaries and been honest (with time, not an easy thing to do at first) about my comfort levels. I've just come out with an album and I am taking on the completely surmountable task of writing a novel.

Now its your turn to tell me!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Glockenspiel, melodica, organ, elementary french, amateur queer theory, how to face insecurities, etc.
