ABOUT ME

I can be a rather shy person in new groups but can warm up quickly and be quite talkative. I prefer a more simple and uncluttered life. Even thought I do enjoy some gadgets and technology, in general I don't care to own a lot of possessions. I spend much of my free time reading various subtopics of non-fiction, and a bit of gardening.

I'm going through some major life changes and am set on rediscovering who I am, and redefining who I want to be. I love to travel, I love to explore natural and urban worlds, I love to mingle and explore other cultures, I love to meet new people. I feel that traveling might just be the best way for that path of rediscovery. I want to spend some time traveling the world, exploring, hiking, camping, couch-surfing, walking, biking, making connections with people and cultures, enjoying the flora and fauna, seeing common places, and seeing the most uncommon of places, I want to have fun conversations, philosophical conversations with random people among my journey.

PHILOSOPHY

Look at others through eyes of love, not eyes of condemnation or judgement.

Treat everyone with compassion, a motivation of genuine concern for their welfare. Compassion brings about all positive inner values, patience, kindness, forgiveness, self-discipline, contentment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to surf for now, and tell people about my surfing experience. When my travels come to an end, and I am able, I will host.

I'd like to be able to host, but as of right now, I rent a room in someones home. Since I neither rent or own the home, but only a room within the home, it is not my place and would not be proper to invite people to stay. When my living situation changes, I will host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience has been negative so far. As much as I would love to meet and converse with new people, everyone seems to nit pick over the smallest detail in either my profile or intro message. My experience has been that the people here have this holier than thou attitude. The people here appear to have a subculture that is exclusive and someone needs to give you break to get in.

I've conversed with one nice, open, carefree person on here. Beyond that, everyone else has been a negative experience. I'd love to try this out, and be proven wrong that there are some incredible people on here.

Interests

I am interested in so many things. Aviation, philosophy, photography, health and fitness, reading, gardening, technology, physics, quantum mechanics, geology, politics, space, tea, cats, hiking, camping, driving, traveling, cooking... this list could go on for a while.
