About Me

Hey!!!

I’m Carlos, just an office clerk working in finance for a worldwide IT company, but from time to time, I become a traveler at heart with an endless appetite for new experiences (and good food!).
I come from Zamora, a small city near Guadalajara(one of the biggest cities in Mexico). I’m easygoing, curious, and always up for a good laugh. Whether it’s running through a park, kicking a ball around, hitting the gym, or dancing (skill level: questionable, enthusiasm level: 100%), I’m in.

I believe laughter is the fastest passport to friendship (no visa required). Wherever I go, I try to bring good vibes, share fun stories, make some jokes, and connect with people beyond borders or stereotypes

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Mexico, we have a saying: 'Wherever you go, do what you see.' (Trust me, it sounds funnier in Spanish, haha.)

So I'm here to make genuine friends, dive into local cultures, and see the world through the eyes of those who call it home.

I’m open-minded, curious, and believe the people you meet along the way can sometimes be an even greater memory than the destination itself.

Interests

I am a very active person: I like sports like soccer, mountain biking and going to the gym, cooking, dancing salsa ,listening to music and eating!!! I love music festivals.

My favorite spot: The beach!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job at an office, traded my suit, tie, and shiny office shoes for muddy boots, shorts, and tank tops, and moved to New Zealand for over two years. I came back with stories, sunburns, and probably a sandfly or two still following me… but those tales are best shared over a beer or a coffee

Teach, Learn, Share

Spanish, the best beach spots you should visit in Mexico, or any other tips/advice you might need if planning to go there, and of course, meaningful and fun conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides showing all due respect to your place, a legit friendship, plenty of laughs, and great conversations. I love sharing and exchanging experiences from our different cultures and what funny cultural shocks we have experienced along the way. I’m happy to help around the house, and if you’re up for it (and we can get the ingredients), I can cook for you an authentic Mexican breakfast: my favorite, chilaquiles.
