Cultivating compassion and trying not to worry.

ABOUT ME

I cook and think; I like meaningful conversations and love exploring; I know a little bit about gardening, a little more about vegan food, and a lot about political theory. I will drink coffee at all hours of the day. I like watching people and love empowering them. I garden a lot, and am trying to create a permaculture-inspired homestead.

I work as a health care administrator for a retirement community. I love my job beyond words.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed almost entirely on a vacation to the UK and France. It was amazing! Also, everyone who stays with me is fascinating beyond compare. Makes me wonder about the person sitting next to me on the bus.

Learning new things; cooking vegan food; hiking in the forest; walking around museums; smiling at daffodils (and stealing a couple for my coffee table); running faster than walkers and biking faster than runners; getting lost on wikipedia (and not asking for directions); eating cupcakes; carving pumpkins and jumping in leaves (seasonal); reading a good book; drinking delicious beverages; watching my garden grow; being compassionate; staring at the wall with nowhere to go.

Hiking/ climbing on the Mendenhall Glacier was pretty exciting. As was traveling alone in South Africa.
