ABOUT ME

I enjoy travelling. But the more I travel the more I understand that it's people and communication that really matter. From every trip I bring home memories about new people I've met and stories we've shared. Couch surfing and hitch-hiking keep persuading me that the world is really good, full of great easy-going people who can help you in trouble. I seek new impressions rather than comfort and hope to make contacts which will last. I don't smoke and drink occasionally, and I'm quite indifferent to nightlife and clubbing.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is wonderful and every day this idea is proved. Whatever happens, it leads to the better. Small troubles aren't worth worrying about.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travelled and stayed with several hosts in Poland, France, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and the Netherlands. I used to attend CS meetings (when my job allowed me to) and make friends with lots of Csurfers from Belarus and abroad.

Interessi

Various cultures, travel, communication, making friends, reading, the history of art and architecture, classical music (and a few rock and pop bands), studying all sorts of dances (Irish, Medieval, folk, belly dance, latina, lindy hop), intellectual games, kayaking. I enjoy my job for its own sake, and besides, it enables me to exercise my creative talents and take part in numerous school performances, where I sing, dance, play small roles and do whatever the director orders ))

Musica, film e libri

As a philologist I'd say that I like almost anything written after the 17th century. Prose is preferred over poetry.
In music I enjoy something I can dance to - disco, folk, old jazz (pre-war time), latin-american tunes, ballroom dances, Italians of the 80-s, and Scorpions and Queen. And multi-vocal singing such as Turetsky Choir.
What concerns movies, I prefer old Soviet films, and on the whole something intelligent, thought-provoking, kind, romantic, definitely not detectives, horrors, super heroes Marvel films
