About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be the best version of myself I possibly can, day in and day out.
ABOUT ME
Hello fellow CSers,
I was born in Priceton, New Jersey, but I lived in Puerto Rico from the age of 5 and consider myself absolutely and irrefutably Puerto Rican.
I couldn't possibly live without traveling and seeing different parts of the globe, being able to experience new cultures and languages. I am a poly-faceted person who appreciates greatly the differences that make each person, culture and place unique. As far as interests go: I have a fervent passion for languages, words, and the arts. I love to read and analyze discourse. I am a fan of many, MANY different types of music. Cinematography is definitely a passion of mine, as well as modern and classic forms of dance, photography, the visual arts, and great food/beer/wine. I also very much enjoy camping and the outdoors, and taking road trips.
I very much enjoy being able to showcase my beautiful tropical island and its warm and friendly inhabitants to people from all over the world. Bienvenidos!
PHILOSOPHY
Give everything your absolute best, in any situation, and you're bound to see the light in it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've provided couch in the past and have always had good experiences. I've also surfed with great hosts.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think I've been couchsurfing before I ever knew about couchsurfing, as happens to be the case with most of us. I've had guests from the U.S. as well Europe stay at my place and I've been lucky enough to surf with excellent people out there. I've hosted more than I've surfed, but I'd like to change that soon. Balance it out.
Interests
MUSIC, GOOD MUSIC. I love to read, watch foreign films. I am an adventurer, as I think most of us on CS are. I love camping on a sandy beach, taking road trips, hiking, kayaking, or just soaking up the sun this tropical island has to offer. I love to travel (another thing all of us on CS obviously have in common), and to be able to experience different countries and cultures from a local's perspective.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While visiting Austria for a winter music festival in which I was participating, our guide mentioned that he had to take care of some business in Prague. I was 22 at the time, yet I immediately asked if I could come along. He said that he'd love the company, and so one of my best friends and I were the first to sing up for this impromptu opportunity. We were also the youngest, and the ones to stir up the enthusiasm in a small group of different people to also come along. We decided to rent 2 cars, since it would be the most flexible and the fastest way to get there, so that we could make the most of our time. Our guide had been to Prague before, but none of us had. Still, he didn't know how to get there by car, and so he bought a map. He needed somebody to read it, and my friend mentioned that I was very good with maps (I was usually the co-pilot on all of our roadtrips), and so I was handed the map, in Czech! I speak quite a few different languages, but Czech was unrecognizable to me. However, I managed to get us there without getting lost. I don't know how I did it, but I did. We spent a total of 6 hours in Prague, not nearly enough time to see everything, but time enough to create beautiful memories for the rest of our lives. I do not regret having given up one of my only free days on the trip to spontaneously visit another country, even if it was only for a few hours. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love language, in all its facets, which means that I love learning new languages and practicing the ones I already know. Other than that, I am also a musician, so I will tell anyone who will listen about the music I love and listen to and am constantly in search of new and different types of musical experiences. I also love to cook, and learning about new foods...There are so many things...
