Halo my name is Carina.
I am a professional people watcher. I have been traveling since I moved to Jakarta, Indonesia to teach yoga in October of 2016. I love Jakarta more than anything in the world, and if you try to convince me it sucks, you probably shouldn't stay with me or let me stay with you ;) I really enjoy the charm and grit of the place. I enjoy finding the gems and beauty in big dirty cities. I love the pearls in the oysters. I love the country, the village, the beach and the mountains too. I grew up in the Seacoast Area of New England and have a great appreciation of the outdoors. I am flexible and open minded. I love to eat, hang out, talk about sociology and anthropology. I am an official member of the Slacker Universe, but still not shy to a hard days work. I have worked on small organic farms for the past 6 years as well and enjoy physical labor. Meeting people is my passion in life.

I hope that together we can all change our minds a little bit and become more accepting of how each other lives in this beautiful world. Music is great if I can walk to it, drive to it, dance to it or sing to it.
Movies are great if I can talk through them.
Book are great too, and I've read a lot, but I can't seem to finish more than a couple books the past year. My favorite ones to talk about are Margret Atwood's Year of the Flood Triology. Ishmael is getting the headlines in my brain at the moment. My dad read all the classics before I was 11 years old. Short stories fascinate me and I love to write them. David Sedaris is my true soul mate.
