I am a people person. I like to meet new people and to make new friends. I love to get to know cultures, places, food and every teeny tiny thing that cultural diversity has to offer. Life is a phenomenon. Just stay open-minded and say hi to the little coincidences that happen to you. You will see what it's good for.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I gave a hitchhiker a ride in the deepest jungle of Surinam. It turned out to be a life changing coincidence. We had great conversations and he told me about Couchsurfing. After surfing on his couch, I technically just moved in for the rest of my stay and we welcomed several other couchsurfers. I cannot tell you how happy I am about turning around and driving back to give him a tiny spot in a packed vehicle (it was barely half a seat for a 10 hour drive). But hey, what you give is what you get, no?

I like the countryside and I enjoy being outside - be it biking or horseback riding in the woods.

I love being as minimalistic as possible. Having just a few things makes life much easier. Being a minimalist has made me very giving to other people. It is such a pleasure to give away things that you don't need if it makes them happy. It definitely makes me happy. Try it!

I am open to many types of music! Please don't ask me what music I like, I really can't narrow it down. I don't think I have a special taste. But I welcome you to show me your preferred music. I like to be inspired.

Books: I read whatever falls into my hands by coincidence. Had a tiny free library in my neighborhood, which I loved. Too many choices overwhelm me and I end up with not making a decision at all. Favorite book: the hobbit, Tintenherz - just because they are beautifully written!
