About Me

Hi there,

I'm Carina from Austria, sweet 26 years old and love travelling around the world. Unfortunately nobody in my family is rich, so I'm working hard to realize all my travelling dreams. I'm sure everyone has a similar story ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFUNG

Unfortunately I can't host at the moment because I'm moving to England and don't have a home yet. ^^

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have to admit that at this point I'm kind of a CS virgin and have not much CS experience yet, but I'm interested in getting to know other people and exchanging ideas and stories with each other. Maybe that's why I started my study at university because I love to learn languages and so communicate with other people in their own language.

Interests

I'm interested in getting in touch with people from other countries because I think it's the best way if you're travelling and meet other people. I'm keen on really getting to know the places where I'm travelling to, not only on the surface like other tourists, but I'd like to see the place as local people do. I think this way you can learn even more about different places and cultures and of course people as just being a normal tourist. I enjoy meeting new people either while partying, cooking, sightseeing or just hanging around togehter. Everything is fine for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I loved to go on music festivals in my home country. It was a "must have" every year to stay 4 days in the outback with lots of beer, cool people and barely showering. I'm listening to all kind of music and am open to any kind, except Drum'n'Bass, that's not really my kind of music.

I watched so many movies in my life that I really don't know which one to list here... Maybe we can talk about good films when seeing each other, I really love to watch new movies! I also love watching series, I still can't stand to wait until the winter break of "The Walking Dead" is over. I also enjoy watching "The Big Bang Theory" even though I'm not always getting the scientific stuff ;) Just to state 2 series I'm watching.

It's a really shame to admit that, but I've no time to read real books any more, all I'm reading is stuff for university -.- I hope I'll find time when finishing university again! Maybe you have some recommendations for me? ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Road trip in New Zealand. It's the most amazing country I've ever seen and the first one which made me speechless.

Ah, yeah, and I drank the most expensive coffee in the world, which tasted - surprise, surprise - like normal coffee ;) Haha, one amazing thing I've done is drinking some stuff which an animal already digested. Is it stupid, brave or just pitiful? ;)

I'll better stick to my New Zealand experience^^

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to share my interest in foreign countries, cultures and people with other guys from the community. I love to hear other stories of life or experiences or just discuss certain issues within different cultures.

I can teach how to make a traditional austrian cake, like "Sachertorte" or the famous dish "Wiener Schnitzel". I really love eating so I'd love to exchange how to cook different dishes with other people and learn how to cook other dishes.

I'd like to learn more about other countries and cultures of the world and try to see things from different aspects and point of views. I think it's really important to be aware of the fact that there are so many different people in the world who have different point of views.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with my hosts my great ability as a cook. No, I'm just kidding, I'm sorry I can only cook a few things but those things I'd definitely like to share with you. Moreover, I'd like to share my ideas and experiences with you and talk with you about everything. I'd like to show othe people the austrian culture and way of life, while joking around and enjoying a great time together and hopefully develop a good friendship.
