I finished a master's degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management in 2016, and since then have been traveling on and off. I've loved learning about other cultures and travel since I went to Ecuador in high school, and then returned to Ecuador to study abroad. Since then, I've backpacked Europe, I took a graduate level course in South Africa, backpacked Southeast Asia, worked in Australia, worked as a divemaster in Malaysia and wintered in Mexico. Soon I'll be off for a few months in East Africa!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, hearing new perspectives, and sharing as much as I can! I want travel to be as accessible as possible, and especially in the United States, lodging can be extremely expensive. I think that couch surfing is a really great option to both increase accessibility in traveling and start restoring the idea of community, which we desperately need. I haven't been in a living situation in which I can accept travelers recently, but I'm excited to pay it forward again when I can!

TV: Arrested Development, Community, Rupaul's Drag Race, Westworld. But mostly just The Office over and over.

Books: I mostly read lefty political non-fiction
