I am 18 years old and I have decided to take a gap year after my high school education before returning to college at the University of Iowa. I have decided to take this year off to travel and learn what I eventually want to study.
Ever since I was young my mother spoke German to me and when my father came home from work we as a family would switch to speaking Portuguese and English I learned at school.

I am on couchsurfing because I am looking for an inexpensive alternative to travel and I really enjoy meeting new people and learning about their culture and I believe this to be one of the best ways to do so.

Music taste is very diverse, ranges anywhere from Kygo to John Denver.
I love ski movies and the classic movies such as Stand by Me and The Goonies and Forest Gump.
Unfortunately I haven't had the drive to read many books but my favorite that I have read is Looking for Alaska by John Green.

I qualified to compete at the USSA Eastern Championships in New Hampshire, a ski racing competition where I and 23 others represented Team Wisconsin.
