About Me
Hello from a Filipina now calling the US home! 😄
I'm a travel junkie with a soft spot for unplanned solo adventures. By day, I navigate the world of Digital Advertising, but my free time is dedicated to exploring the real world. I'm an easygoing and bubbly soul who genuinely loves connecting with new people and diving into meaningful conversations. Still on the exciting quest for my ultimate purpose, I'm a firm believer in experiencing all the beauty our planet holds. This world is far too vast to stay in one place for long, and I trust it will eventually lead me to where I'm meant to be 🫶
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly, I'm here for the awesome people! I love connecting with those who can find the extraordinary in the ordinary and are willing to share their unique stories and inspirations. I'm a curious soul and love learning anything and everything.
When I travel, I want the real deal – the local vibe. For me, the best part of exploring a new place is the people I connect with, the food I discover, and the culture I experience firsthand. Couchsurfing is the perfect recipe for all three!
Interests
Food is my ultimate adventure - I'm on a delicious quest to taste every cuisine this planet has to offer, and I'm always up for the challenge of the most intriguing (and maybe slightly unusual!) dishes.
Beyond the plate, I'm energized by making new friends, getting lost in music, appreciating art in all its forms, creating in the kitchen (cooking and baking!), moving my feet to a good beat, and soaking up the sun at the beach.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music is a constant discovery for me, and I'm not one to stick to just one genre! Lately, my playlists have been heavy on 90s nostalgia, Alternative feels, the deep beats of Saxo House, the energy of EDM, and the goods vibes of Reggaeton.
On books, I'm a happy inhabitant of both fictional realms and the world of factual narratives. Novels pull me into their stories, while non-fiction expands my understanding of everything around me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far, I've checked off six incredible Wonders of the World from my list: the Pyramids of Giza, the Taj Mahal, Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu, Christ the Redeemer, and the Colosseum. Hoping to do Petra and the Great Wall of China before i'm 35, and hopefully go to Antarctica before i'm 40!
The Big Solo Adventure: In 2018, I traded my desk for a backpack and spent two and a half glorious years solo-traveling the planet. It was my greatest decision ever.
I'm also completely under Europe's spell! Every time I visit, I discover something new and fall a little more in love with its charm and diversity.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm trying to learn Spanish and would love to practice with someone!
I can also offer a glimpse into Filipino culture by teaching you some Tagalog phrases and sharing the deliciousness of homemade Adobo.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Get ready for a unique blend of Filipino and American culture right here in Atlanta! I live with my boyfriend and we have a guest room and super comfortable couch to offer our guests :)
I love sharing stories, having a good laugh, and connecting with travelers. I might even treat you to a home-cooked Filipino meal (I'll try my best!). When my schedule allows, I'd be happy to show you some cool spots around our vibrant city.
