because it gives me a glimpse of what life is like in another country/city/home, a minor cultural exchange. it's a much more satisfying to live with locals than hotels or even hostels

Interesses

I like reading, music, art and history. I love learning about people and what makes them tick. Since a very young age i became engrossed with interesting people like Caravaggio, Sagan, Plath, Shelly, Corso and Jonker. It took me 18 years and traveling to another hemisphere to realize the real heros are sometimes right under my nose. The jazz musician on the street corner, the artist who never made it sitting at your local bar or even your mom. I love hiking, traveling, bars, eating, cooking

Well I love too many books to mention, one of my favourite writers at this moment is Haruki Murakami. I never was a big movie person but i like movies such as 'A Night on Earth' or some Wes Anderson films.. I'm going through a jazz phase (apparently phase is not the right word since Jazz is a way of life) but my heart still belongs to the obvious Led Zeppelin, The Velvet Underground
