Overview
About Me
Hi! I am a South African woman, born and raised in Bloemfontein. I studied and lived in Cape Town for a couple of years, after which I met my husband and moved to Johannesburg. (Which is a lot safer and friendlier than you might have heard) We live in an amazing part of the city with amazing parks, coffee shops, and restaurants within walking distance.
We have two dogs, a golden retriever and a Belgian Shepard, that are like our kids.
I have not yet had the opportunity to CS or host someone, but am really looking forward to both!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be able to see the world, meet new people, learn about different cultures, and show them why South Africa is such a special place. (Obviously while trying to keep it affordable as many other countries are very expensive for South Africans to travel to)
Interests
I love running! Which is also a great way to explore new places.
It’s my husband and my dream to do marathons all over the world.
I love cooking and baking. I can make a mean Milktart. A true South African dessert!
I love children and hope to one day have my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a variety of music and movies. One of my favourite books is “Think like a monk” by Jay Shetty.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran the Cape Town marathon with a broken elbow😊 all 42.2 kilometres of it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I work as an art director on commercials, movies, reality shows and series. So I can tell you many interesting stories about the film industry in South Africa, which is quite lively!
I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle, try to be as eco conscious and chemical free as possible. I make my own cleaning products, do composting, enjoy working in my veg garden. We are fortunate enough to have a spacious home and garden to do all of these things.
My husband and I renovated our home mostly by ourselves over a couple of years, so we learnt a lot and we loved it!
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain
