About Me

We're a newly-married couple (well, actually we'll be married on 6th December but by the time we arrive to New Zealand, we will be!). Jay is Canadian and I'm half Costa Rican/ half Peruvian.

We're really easy-going and friendly people. Kind of the outdoorsy type, we love nature and adventures.

Our goal is to experience other cultures as authentically as we can.

Just a small FYI: we're open-minded folks - LGBTQ-ness, ethicity, religion - people are people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With some luck on our side, we'll be traveling for a while. The "plan" is to travel slowly in order to have the chance to get to know folks who live in the places we're visiting. We won't be couchsurfing the whole time, but what better way to learn of the secret spots a place has to offer and what makes its people, its people?

Music, Movies, and Books

Jay likes this really indie music, most of the bands I've never heard before (I asked him to name 3 bands: Shakey Graves, Tallest Man On Earth, Alt-J ).. but anyway, they're decent enough. I'm more into punk and that kind of style (Rise Against, Thrice, Bad Religion). Biggest agreements? Radiohead and Pink Floyd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking in the Himalayas... If you're into trekking and you haven't done it yet: we 100% recommend you to put it on your wish list! Beautiful place, beautiful sights, amazing people!
