I love traveling and I plan on making memories all over the world. But more importantly, I love new cultures and people and I think couchsurfing is a wonderful opportunity to get to do just that! The experience is so much more enriching by getting to know a local and hopefully sharing advice and stories along the way.

Interessen

Storytelling! I love hearing stories! Whether it's from a book, a movie, a relative, a friend, or stranger. I am constantly asking my mother and grandma to tell me stories from when they were younger. I'm also ready to try anything new, whether its white water rafting or eating escargot for the first time. I read and journal regularly and love relaxing in my hammock.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I appreciate all music! From oldies to mariachi to country to classic rock to soul to Disney songs and everything in between. If a day goes by without music something is probably wrong. For movies, my favorite genre is Comedy. Although, some of my all time favorite movies include Sweeney Todd, 10 Things I Hate About You, Dirty Dancing, The Little Mermaid, and Remember the Titans. Some of my favorite books include Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Tuesday with Morrie, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One amazing thing I've done is leave my hometown. Which may not sound amazing at all, but the towns I grew up in are small and close niched. Most people in that area stay and live their entire lives there which is perfectly fine, but going away to further my education has allowed me to go to so many new places and meet so many new people. I have learned so much, academically but also about myself. I refuse to live an ordinary life, I refuse to believe my life is simply meant to be being born, going to school, getting a job, and retiring. One amazing thing I've done is realize the opportunity to make this life and journey worthwhile and meaningful.

Throughout my college career, I give back by teaching young mind about STEM-related career options through conferences and camps. I have taught English in Italy and have taught students from 33 different counties online.
