Hi! I'm Carlijn. Love - of course - to travel and in particular to less known/popular places. Trying to fly less (not that I did that so often) because of the negative impact on the environment, but also because I like the journey getting there! Arriving at your destination like * snaps with fingers* is boring.

It's safe to say I'm sporty, always looking for a new challenge or new goals. I'm into running, obstacle runs, fitness and hiking. Furthermore I like movies (I'm keeping a list and it's loooong), beers (or drinks in general) and my newly added hobby scubadiving.

I'm working at a International Office at a Dutch university, motivating and informing students about studying a semester abroad.

Like everyone else here on Couchsurfing, I like travelling a lot. But just travelling isn't satisfying me. It is great to meet new people from all over the world, to expand your network and to have a personal local guide. This way, you will be able to see places where no tourist has stepped foot. I don't like places everybody has seen.
