Overview
About Me
I'm a statistics student from Germany (focussing on ecological stats lately).
I'm a little shy around people I don't know, but having dinner together (maybe with a glass of wine or beer) always helps with that! I always try to be polite, but honest with others.
I like trying out fun sports (e.g. acro yoga, cross golf) although I'm terrible at dancing and ball games. I love going to markets and supermarkets for some reason (may be connected to the baking, cooking and eating that usually follows after the shopping)!
I may not be the most talkative person, but I do like listening to other people's stories :)
I've been to some far away places, but I want to explore more of the countries that I can travel to with trains, busses or car shares. I've come to believe that Europe has just as much (well, at least enough for me) exciting and beautiful stuff to offer as other continents.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really feel like wanting to meet new people sometimes and I enjoyed the experiences I had with CS so far, especially because all the people I've met through CS have been kind, respectful and interesting persons.
I haven't hosted yet, but might in the future (will be moving to a new place soon), because I'm actually curious why people would travel to Bielefeld - I love the town, but still...

Music, Movies, and Books
I can enjoy most music and movies if the person showing it to me is enthusiastic about it.
I listen to Indie, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Ska, also Pop and R'n'B for dancing, sometimes Rap (mostly German and French). I like 80s music a lot.
I don't really watch a lot of movies, but I love watching series, especially funny stuff (e.g. Brooklyn Nine-Nine or Arrested Development). I also like more thrilling series and things that are nice to watch because they are well made and simply beautiful (e.g. Outlander, Mad Men and nature documentaries).
What I Can Share with Hosts
So far, everyone has been super interested in my statistics skills.
But seriously, I could cook/bake something or we could cook something together - I relax best when I'm following orders in the kitchen and simply cutting vegetables.
If I'm staying for more than one or two nights and have the time and abilities, and there's some small task (gardening, painting, repairing, sewing etc.) to be done at your place, I'd love to be of help. I think these things can be fun if you don't have to do them by yourself.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Spain
