About Me

Hi! I’m Carlos, a 28-year-old Architect from Mexico. I’m a very responsible, tidy, and easygoing person who truly values respect and a good environment at home. Currently, I’m focused on my professional growth and mastering English as a key tool for my career.
I’m a big fan of astronomy and I love learning about the stars and constellations. I also enjoy the energy of electronic and techno music, and I’m always curious to discover new sounds or interesting facts about the world 😊🛫🇲🇽

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to truly know a place is through its people, not just its landmarks. For me, Couchsurfing is a unique portal to exchange cultures, professional perspectives, and life stories.
As I’m currently in a phase of professional growth and learning English, I want to experience the local lifestyle and share my own Mexican culture and traditions. I’m not just looking for a place to stay; I’m looking to make genuine connections, share a good meal, and learn from different ways of seeing the world. 🌍✨

Interests

I am a total food enthusiast! I believe that sharing a meal is the best way to connect and learn about different cultures. I’d be happy to cook some authentic Mexican food for you—I can easily adapt recipes to be vegetarian—or we can just explore local spots together.
I am very respectful of personal space and house rules. I’m looking forward to meeting people who enjoy honest conversations about professional goals, life experiences, or just sharing a good meal while listening to some good music! 🎶🎼🎵🔊

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy electronic and techno music—it’s my go-to for traveling and focus. I’m a fan of artists like Bicep (the track 'Glue' is a favorite). However, I’m always open to discovering new local sounds or whatever you’re currently listening to!
I like films that make you think or have a great visual story. Sci-fi is definitely a favorite, especially anything related to space and the universe. I also enjoy documentaries about different cultures and history.
I mostly read books about architecture, design, and professional growth. Lately, I’ve also been very interested in astronomy and books about different languages and cultures (currently diving into Turkish culture!) 🤭😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As an Architect, one of the most amazing things for me is seeing a project go from a simple sketch to a real, standing structure where people live their lives; it’s like bringing a dream into reality.
On a more personal note, I’m fascinated by the night sky.

It’s a humbling reminder of how vast the universe is and how lucky we are to share this tiny planet and connect with each other. 🌌✨

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some secrets of authentic Mexican cuisine (even vegetarian versions!). I can also talk to you about architecture and design, or if you’re interested in the night sky, I can teach you how to identify some constellations and share some cool facts about astronomy. 🤭🌎🌍🌌

I’m very interested in improving my English through natural conversation. I’d also love to learn new local recipes, different ways of living, and hear about your own life experiences and professional journey. 😀

What I Can Share with Hosts

Authentic Mexican gastronomy: I love cooking and I’d be happy to prepare some real Mexican dishes for you (I can easily adapt recipes to be vegetarian or vegan).

Great conversations: Whether it’s about architecture, the mysteries of the universe and constellations, or just sharing life stories, I’m always up for a good chat.

A respectful enviorement: As a professional architect, I’m naturally very organized, tidy, and respectful of personal space and house rules.

Language Exchange: I’m happy to help you practice your Spanish or share interesting facts about Mexican culture and traditions.
