I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse studying Public Health Education and French. I'm in Lomé, Togo until the end of August to conduct a research project on women's health.

I am endearingly clumsy, have a slight caffeine addition, and have a tendency to just walk away from a group in search of something new. But don't worry, I'll wander back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet as many different people I can. I also have a Togolese bucket list that I'm slowly chipping away at. If you know someone who is having a traditional wedding anytime soon, I want to be there. I pick up dancing quickly and give great wedding presents.
Also featured on the list is to master an African recipe, so if you want to get crafty in the kitchen, call me!

Interests

I really enjoy being outside, I hike a lot and camp as often as I can. I am also very interested in cooking and trying new foods. I work at a local farmers' market where I have access to lots of new locally produced foods which has aided my adventurous cooking. I work at a farm to table restaurant and a crêperie at home where you can catch me whipping up killer (sometimes failed) organic feasts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Live music is possibly one of my favorite things. I will take any opportunity to see a band play their music live; I think it is such an honest representation of how those artists feel. I enjoy reading nonfiction books, I've really been into books about different wild and edible plants lately. Who knew there were so many types of mushrooms? I don't really watch TV or movies that much, I'm a bit of a pop culture dud but I really love starting a movie and falling asleep in the first 20 minutes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and would enjoy making dinner with/for you. I am also a tidy person, I would be happy cleaning up the house in return for staying with you. I would really be happy to help anyone out with anything around the house in exchange for housing/laughs/good vibes.
