Hey there!
My name is Carly and I'm from the Sunny Gold Coast (home of some of the best beaches) of Australia. I'm currently residing in Big Bear Lake and have been working at a hostel here since the 10th of January. Before that I did a uni exchange in Canada from September-December. This is my first time in North America and it's been a blast so far!
I enjoy music (especially live), reading, hiking, writing, going on adventures and basically just throwing myself in as many new experiences as I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing for a couple of reasons.
1. To meet new people
2. Because it would be awesome to stay with people who live around the area I'm visiting/get tips about where to go
3. I'm a poor uni student and would appreciate a couch to sleep on to extend my travels!

Interests

I love connecting with nature by going for hikes and bike rides. I also enjoy meditation and Buddhism but also learning about other spiritual practises. Learning about and experiencing as many other cultures and ways of life as I can is one of my main goals in life.

I have a huge passion for any type of creative human expression. My favourite genre of music is indie folk but I enjoy listening to almost everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Niagara Falls and taking the boat super close to the Falls is one of the most amazing experiences I have had. The energy there is unreal!
