Hi! My name is Carly and I am currently in Graduate school at Drexel University in the College of Computing and Informatics in the process of acquiring my M.S.L.I.S (Masters of Science in Library and Information Science).

I will be graduating in a year and I want to figure out where I would like to live and work in the U.S.

I have been very lucky to be able to travel all over Europe: Italy: Venice, Bologna, Firenze (Florence), Rome, Lecce, Milan, Verona, Capri, Napoli, France: Paris, Dijon, Holland: Amsterdam.

However, I have not done a whole lot of traveling in the United States. I'm from Philly, so I have been to NY and the Jersey shore. I have not spent much time down south, in New England, but specifically out west. I REALLY want to travel and experience the West Coast - particularly California - but it is REALLY expensive.

As such, that is why I am here on couchsurfing: to explore the West a bit.

My goal is to travel as much as I can in my life! To learn as much as I can and experience alot of different things!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Amsterdam with my friend who now lives in France and it was one of the best experiences of my life! He was very kind and provided tea in the morning for me, which is an ultimate must and I was grateful!

I hope to do it again soon!

Interessi

I really enjoy extreme sports: aggressive in-line skating, skateboarding (cruising on my cruise board), and as of this summer surfing. I'm very sad that summer is ending but I'm going to try to surf through the Fall on the east coast (meaning November).

I also love to read: particularly interested in mid 19th - 20th century LGBTQIA literature as in William Burroughs, Walt Whitman, Gertrude Stein, Willa Cather, Allen Ginsberg, Djuna Barnes etc. My undergraduate thesis has a wordpress site and you are welcome to peruse and share it!
