ABOUT ME

I'm grew up in Ontario, and recently moved away from the lovely town of Guelph, where I spent 4 years, to work on my masters in ecology (and try to improve my dismal french) in Montreal...I love to travel whenever I can get away! I've been lucky enough to travel to some really amazing places, and meet some incredible people. A few things I like: mountains and oceans and forests, tap water, running, hiking, curling up with a good book, discovering new music, vegetarian food, thunderstorms, chocolate, coffee, potlucks, street art, baking, cooking, gardens, scrabble.A few things I don't like: mushrooms (I'm working on it...), mint chocolate, (most) stand up comedy, negative attitudes, cold feet, waking up early, loud noises, boring people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host (soon!), but don't have much space where I'm at now! I've surfed many times on my "real" friends couches, and a (very) few times through CS, and have spent time with many surfers through friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The Couchsurfing community is so lovely! I haven't surfed much yet, but all the couch surfers I've met have been wonderful, warm people.

兴趣

I am interested in oh so many things! I study ecology, and am game to talk about almost anything environment related. I am passionate about food, and also about trees! I'm an avid baker, and love to experiment with vegan and gluten free baking. I'm a fan of community involvement and grassroots activism. I love to be outdoors, hiking/camping/running/just exploring. I love crafts, and knitting (although I'm not very good). I love music, although I unfortunately don't play an instrument myself! I've recently gotten into blogging - and write about connections between people and nature for a few sources.

Participated on an Antarctic expedition, navigated the Westfjords of Iceland by bus, trekked the Long Range in Newfoundland.
