ABOUT ME

I love life. I enjoy connecting with all kinds of different people and learning about various cultures! I love traveling and I am looking for ways to do it more...so here I am! I also am a huge lover of the arts! I sing opera and musical theatre in regional productions around the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, so most of the time I am in rehearsals. When I am not, I love to go to new places and have fun, new experiences! I never meet a stranger, and I laugh a lot! :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the profile for awhile but have yet to try it out! A musician friend of mine traveled to Montreal and CouchSurfed...he told me about how wonderful it was. I love to travel! I would much rather get to know someone and immerse myself into the culture of a new city/town/country by CouchSurfing, than to stay in a boring, sterile hotel room (blah). I just moved into a new place with a new roomie, so I'm not sure how she would feel about hosting...I would like to try it out first as a surfer. We will see if this changes in the future (cross fingers)!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any previous experience on CouchSurfing.com, but I've stayed over at plenty of friends houses. I am able to sleep in beds, on futons, couches, air mattresses, sleeping bags...you name it! If I really want to go somewhere, I can make it happen!

I'm pretty open... I love it all pretty much!

Movies: I have a thing for musicals, and turn-of-the-century movies. Love comedies. LOVE and appreciate really good acting.

Music: I love jazz, opera, musical theatre, rock, r&b, pop, neo-soul, folk...my music collection is all over the place!

Books: I have a thing for historical fiction

Drinking vino in the ocean of Cinque Terre, Italy after coming off stage from a performance of the opera La Boheme...I listened to the last scene, with a full orchestra while the sun was setting! Perfect moment.

Also, every time I step onstage and connect with an audience...it feels pretty magical! It is my true love.
