I am happy, intelligent, conversant in many (many) subjects, very warm and deeply caring about people individually and collectively, educated and interested in nearly everything, that I have many many people who I delightedly call my friends and family of choice.

I prefer real connection with others. I like to share time and conversation wherever I go.

I have set myself the adventure of learning to be an adventurer in the world. And I want to know where you've travelled and what adventures you've had!

As Rilke said, "...And as for that, life is right, anyway."

When we unentangle ourselves, or as I like to say, 'pull our fingers out of the bread dough,' we allow the threads of things to weave their natural way. We trust our life. Then we can have joy in the moment--we are free.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently floating in the world after having lived in my home for 14 years. I sold my house and have been living very very simply so as to travel for this period of my life. So for now, I am traveling and looking for amazing people to stay with for a bit! Once I land again, I will be happily hosting people on my very comfortable and inviting couch somewhere new in the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some couch surfing experience and they have yielded wonderful and lasting connections and friendships. I am still in touch with all those I have surfed with. And 2 especially wonderful people have become dear dear friends in the world!

Making homemade lavender lemon scones while listening to Explosions in the Sky and NIN.... Discussing the development of female prosthetics with my cat.... The taste of red wine when I'm laughing..... Goat cheese and apricots.... Cadmium orange in oils.... My wisteria blooming.... Riding down the canyon at 30 mph.... Long deep conversations.... How red the sunset was last night.... Laughing so hard I cry.... Mist obscuring the mountains when I'm hiking.... Quantum physics.... Anonymous acts of kindness.... Local artists.... A night leaving a friend's place on the mountain on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, where the small densely pine-covered little islands scattered like coins, had drawn the clouds down like halos or berets out of a crystal dark sky... And the full moon three times her size, reflecting brilliant as silver sunlight off the tops of the clouds into my eyes---- I will never be the same.
