This is a shared profile between two friends, we are Vero and Carmen, we both love traveling and share many more interests!

Carmen: I look to enjoy and try to get everything I can out of life through experiences. For me traveling and getting to know new people and countries is the best way to do it. I’m (or I consider myself) an independent filmmaker who tries to capture life in its purest image. Right now I work in movies and also manage an independent production company with my friends :)

Vero: Travelling is one of my favorite things to do. I absolutely love meeting new people, cultures, and countries, it really helps me to stay grounded and value life so much more. I work as a freelance videographer -mainly for brands- and I love making videos for myself as well, is my way of expressing myself and show my view of the world. When I’m not working, you can probably find me reading a good book, watching a History documentary or scuba diving somewhere in the world:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because for us it’s best way to get to know a country. We also love making friends with whom we may meet again back in my country or in another part of the world :)

Interests

Carmen: My interest right now are photography and videography. Getting to know the world a little better to enrich my knowledge for the future and get inspiration.

I love listening to music, in fact I play guitar and piano so music travels with me always! I listen to everything but I enjoy rock and soul/jazz the most.

I also love reeding, some of my favorites are: immortality and I don’t know about anything else.

Vero: I’m continuously learning filmmaking skills, improving as a scuba diver (I’m already a Stress & Rescue diver!), and I love philosophy & History.
Recently I’ve been researching a lot on how to grow my own food, is one of my goals for next year (If you have any tips I’m all ears!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Carmen: As you know I’ve studied cinema and I’m looking to become a filmmaker so I really enjoy watching movies and tv shows, it’s difficult to say witch are my favorites but some I really like are: Portrait of a lady on fire, The fight club and Shoplifters. And series Friends and Mr. robot.

I listen to all kinds of music and I love enriching myself with the musical knowledge and tastes of the people I meet.

Vero: I love reading and watching movies, and I can’t imagine my life without music.
Some of my fav films are Life is Beautiful, Before Sunset & Cinema Paradiso.
For books “on the shortness of life” & “Man’s search for meaning” .
R&B is my most-listened genre but I enjoy them all (really) :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Carmen: Something that I enjoy and that brings me joy and happiness is paragliding or bundle jumping. These extreme experiences give me new perspectives of the world and life every time! Also solo traveling is one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Vero: Solo traveling. It’s played a huge role in turning me into the person that I am today. Oh and scuba diving with sharks!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Carmen: If your interested in photography I can teach you some very useful tricks! Also to play guitar :) And of course Spanish language and cuisine. We can also share a nice time chatting with a beer.

Vero: I’m videographer so I can def give you some tips on how to shoot or edit content!
I also love talking about life, and sharing my culture (I can offer Spanish lessons and somewhat decent cooking skills).
