About Me
ABOUT ME
If I had a slogan it would be: "Carmela, changing the world one pivot table at a time." I'm a complete geek with a love for math and numbers in general. I've couple that with my intense desire to make the world a better place and have demystified data to many a non-profit administrator to help them create programs that help people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a newbie!
Interests
Traveling - Reading travel blogs, planning future trips for myself (or my friends), and writing about previous ones.
Eating - Trying to find foods from previous travel in NYC and anywhere within a reasonable driving distance, mastering the art of smoothie-making, trying every type french macaroon/gelato/chocolate chip cookie/cupcake I can get my hands on
Yoga - Finally figured out how to do a headstand. Now on to handstands!
F&F - Doing some (or all, usually just eating) of the above with my huge extended family and fun set of friends.
Running - This is a new one. Ran a lot in college and (inspired by Born to Run by Chris McDougall) am trying to make it a habit. One incentive is the (super ambitious) idea of tackling Big 5 Marathon in South Africa.
Minimalism - Traveling has taught me how to live more with less so it's been on ongoing journey to de-clutter my nearly 30 years of accumulated possessions.

From February to May 2012, my new husband and I traveled around the world on our honeymoon, visiting 10 countries in 96 days. Innumerable moments left me speechless and full of gratitude.
