I was born in China and moved to Australia when I was 16. I used to be the only female civil engineer at my company, and now I am living my dream traveling around the world. I love visiting new places and meeting people with diverse backgrounds as it reminds me how big the world is and how tiny I’m as an individual. I am also extremely interested in psychology, so if you have any cool stories to share that would be a green light for our friendship.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new friends with diverse backgrounds, so I’m able to better understand local cultures. I also love listening to others’ stories, which makes me feel I gain the experience by listening to them.

Interests

Wanderlust: Traveling is a big thing for me. I’ve spent 1/3 of my life on my way to different destinations and meeting new friends. I fell in love with many places, but haven’t found one to settle down. Apart from Australia and China, my current favorite country is Turkey. Also, I would love to work as an international volunteer one day.
Absolute foodie (especially Asian, Mediterranean, Spanish & South American cuisines) Favorite exercise is chewing and I do move my limbs sometimes.

I can teach you Chinese or English mixed with Aussie & Chinese accent;) I would love to share my experiences of traveling, which might be useful for you if you have the same destinations in the future.

If anyone gets a chance to visit Brisbane, Shenzhen or Hong Kong, I am happy to show you around the city when I’m there.

I’m keen to learn anything new. I have a huge bucket-list that includes languages, photography, dancing, diving, cooking, etc. When I travelled in Peru, I fell in love with Spanish, so it would be great if you can teach me some Spanish.
