About Me

I am Portuguese-Brazilian, a professor and researcher in philosophy and a contemporary dancer. I currently live in Toulouse, France and I am doing a break. I used to live in some cities in Brazil, such as Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, and Porto Alegre and I also lived in England and now I live in France. I love travelling, and meeting new cultures and people from other countries. I have friends from all over the world. I love this network of friends who cross borders. Dancing and the arts, in general, are my favourite hobbies. In the next few months, I start to put into practice the life of a digital nomad, mainly as a writer, translator and content creator within the area I work. At this moment, my main intention is to improve my beginner's French and also improve my fluency in English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always couched surfing with friends, friends of friends or even just acquaintances. Now I'm living a moment of changing continents and my intention is to expand my world by meeting more people from other cultures. As I'm not a good tourist, I prefer to get to know the cultures and cities I pass through through the eyes and local habits and that's where couching surfing comes in. Nothing better than being able to stay at a local's house.

Interests

I like to go out to the town for a coffee, go to the park or a cultural event, visit museums and attend dance performances. I also really enjoy hiking and spending the day outdoors, as well as playing sports like tennis. I am always ready to do new activities and make good company.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many. I'm very curious and won't be short of things to talk about and share

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living is the most amazing thing I do on a daily basis. But without a doubt, moving to another country at the age of 50 with the intention of breathing new air and expanding my world has undoubtedly been an incredible adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a very versatile person. I love cooking (I would be delighted to share my culinary experiences!).
As I am a philosophy professor, I have a vast knowledge of different issues. I also love art then we can have a good conversation. I could teach Portuguese, my mother tongue, and I can also exchange conversations to practice English and Spanish. As I am still learning French I would like to receive lessons or be able to practice conversation. Also recreational dance and stretching classes, as I have training in body techniques for self-knowledge and creation. I'm always ready to do new activities and keep good company.
