CURRENT MISSION
To finish my studies and have the ability to travel thereafter
ABOUT ME
...Here is a small part of my OLD "all about me " LOL...
Anyway I am currently studying Media and Cultural studies (which basically entails film and new media in the world) and hope to graduate the summer of next year, which makes me very excited for what I'm going to do with the rest of my life after that. Most of the time school is my priority, but other things I enjoy doing on my down time are: cooking ( I love food, especially making it and finding new ways to not be boring while trying to stick to a vegetarian diet), photography (I love taking pictures because I enjoy being able to capture moments that I can later look back on), reading for fun(currently trying to find time to read "Money" by Martin Amis), going hunting for vintage stuff (one man's trash is another man's treasure :), and listening to music (I like folk, some bluegrass and usually anything that has acoustic guitar in it and where the singer sounds either tired or lonely LOL)
Personality wise I would say that I try to always be as friendly as possible, I think manners are really important so I try to always be respectful and considerate (you know treating others how I'd like to be treated and whatnot),I also tend to joke around a lot and just try to have a good time. I just try to be really easy-going with whoever I'm with and just have a good laugh sharing jokes or stupid stories or amazing experiences, just being chill or whatever. I think that some words that definitely describe me are: dorky and sporadically hyper.
So this is some of the ways I would describe myself, I hope that I've able to portray some of my personality across :) and as I always say Keep on trucking ppls...............................................
Well not a lot has changed since I wrote this profile about a year ago, except that I graduated a few weeks ago, and that whole "can't wait for what I will do with the rest of my life" moment has arrived, and I still am not sure, so I will dedicate this summer to trying to figure this out and what better way to do it than by traveling. So for my short term plans I will traveling England for the next 2 months YAY!!!!
PHILOSOPHY
Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've unfortunately have only been able to only host one person seeing as how I haven't had my own apartment...yet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I studied abroad summer '11 and did a little traveling around the UK, so was able to experience the wonderful kindness of UK hosts :)...memorable moments were picnicking in the countryside of Sussex, Brighton pride parade, getting absolutely lost in Woking, wonderful conversations with soooo many people in the Portsmouth Couch Surfing community, drunken rabble rousing everywhere and going to my first club by the Brighton sea shore.

On being L.A. savvy
(1)forget Disneyland and go to Six Flags Magic Mountain (this isn't technically IN L.A. but you should still go)
(2)because L.A. is so diverse be sure to try a restaurant that serves more that burgers, fries, pizza or hot dogs, and avoid the Chinese food restaurants as well (those are a dime a dozen and not at all authentic), opt more for a central American restaurant or any other Asian food that doesn't say Chinese in the front.
(3) If you want to find bargains and a strange atmosphere of food, jewelry hidden art museums, and just about anything in between go to Downtown LA, the Fashion District
(4) if you'll be traveling by bus a lot ask someone how and where to purchase a monthly bus pass, otherwise you'll find yourself dealing with a lot of pocket change, which can get tedious and frustrating.
(5)Food is cheap here and found everywhere
(6)Some of my favorite touristy places, even though I'm a native, are the beach (Venice or Santa Monica or Marina Del Rey), A hike to the Hollywood sign and then continuing all the way to the Griffith Observatory
(7) The weather is usually really nice and people in LA are usually all about comfort, so bring whatever you feel the most comfortable wearing.
