Hello!
My name is Carole. I am French and newly Canadian. I've been living in Canada since 2016, in Ontario and BC.
I've recently made a career change, which led me from working in a business setting to instructing a bench of tiny humans in an elementary school. I teach in French. I love it.
While I love getting into nature (hiking, biking, snowshoeing, skiing (at a really beginner level), the past few months have been quite busy with the management of my class and university studies.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Couchsurfing has been a great community for all of my first years in Canada. I loved hosting some people with whom I could show the beauty of my new home 'Vancouver'. I loved exploring cities around me, accompanied by or under the guidance of the best people in town.
I think I'm more on the introverted side. But I love to connect with people when visiting a place. Sharing a good time.

Interessen

Living in Vancouver BC, I'd say a lot has to do with nature. I love going on some hikes, camping, snowshoeing, and biking...
I've spent the last few months, working hard to manage my first year teaching kids, and studying for university.
I'm trying to be a better reader - just trying, with a goal of one book per month.
If I had more free time, it would probably be to experience more arts: painting. drawings, new things..

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

It's hard to say. I thought that leaving the comfort of my home country was one of those... But it just seems like it was just part of my life journey. I thought that traveling around and exploring cities by myself were some amazing things, but it just seems that this is what a lot of our community here, is up to. So - I can't think of anything really special to share yet.
I think this is yet to come...
