I am a 26 year-old from Lyon, France. I love slowly discovering new places and meeting people around Europe (so far). I love languages, I speak French, English and Spanish and I am currently learning German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I gave Couchsurfing a try in my early twenties (2021-2023) during the summers mostly, when I'm on a break from university and finally have some traveling time, since I would be studying and working the rest of the year.
I love the CS community and how much it has already offered me. I truly believe the best way to get to know a place is to experience it though the eyes of a local and their stories. Making new friends and deep connections on the way is "la cerise sur le gâteau" as we French say (cherry on cake), as a really inspiring movie (and life, actually) taught me that "happiness is only real when shared".
The past two years (2024-2025), I have been particularly busy with finishing my Master's degree and working at the same time, and barely had any time to myself, even less to travel around unfortunately.
Luckily, I have just graduated and I am finally done with studying, I now "only" have work, so I feel like I can live a little again!

Unfortunately, I cannot host anyone when I'm home since I live with other roomates in a small shared flat, which I love but definitely comes with some issues, notably being already a bit crowded and not even having room for a second mattress in my private room, and no couch in the flat. I would love to host and give back more to the CS community when I get the chance to.

Interests

I love nature and being outside, I love hiking and biking. I love practicing different languages, and learning about people, their personalities, cultures and interests.
I love animals and grew up around many.
I like being introduced to new ideas, ways of living and thinking, questioning my whole existence and growing as a human.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to very different genres of music, my taste really changes from time to time. But I've found that I appreciate music more when someone introduces me to it, and same goes with cinema and literature, especially when they explain me why they love it so much. It feels so much more special then.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to do some tandem/language exchange in the languages I can hold a conversion in (French, English, Spanish and also German to a simpler level).
I’m always up for a bike ride, a hike or a walk around the city. I also love just seating in a spot with a great view, have a picnic and a nice conversation.
