Hi everyone. We are Carole and Valentin, a French young couple who is traveling across Canada and the US during six months.

We were respectively lawyer and aerospace engineer but we quited our jobs few months ago to discover North America. We took a flight to Montréal (Québec) at the beginning of April and we bought a typical American minivan. It looks great but is really old and rusty - Québec and cars do not fit together !

Now, we are on the road for 4 months and it's a fantastic experience. We began with Québec, Ontario, we crossed Canada up to the West Coast, visited the Rockies,... and a lot more. But we will tell you our travel stories and anecdotes when we will meet you.

We are normally used to sleep in hostel, in camping in the beck of our minivan and to do volunteering in farms to help farmers during our trip (Wwoofing or HelpX if anyone knows). First, we haven't planned to participate in couchsurfing but one of our friend told us how her experience were great and how it changed her vision of travel. We tried and we completely agree with that. We met some GREAT people, really, and we want to continue.

We love to meet people that want to share a bit of their life with us, hearing our travel stories around a bottle of wine and hanging out with locals.

We are open-minded and curious about everything. Don't worry, we are very clean and we always tidy up after ourself. And I think most couchsurfers host because they want to share and know more about people and cultures. That's our way of couchsurfing and we would be glad to share what we can with you.

Mostly to meet people. We absolutely don't do that to save money. We are doing a pretty long trip in North America not to run after main tourist spots but to discover how local peoples live, a kind of true American experience.

We can share our travel experiences, cook some great French food (crepes, cakes, ratatouille, ...). We can learn you some essential French sentences to survive in France. Valentin can share a lot about science and engineering if you are interested in.
