About Me
2023 I hosted volunteers via Workaway for three months, so I'm enjoying the peace and quiet. Beautiful couchsurfers fluttering in and out of the house again already! :)
2021 Dear couchsurfers, please note that I consider requests only from surfers who have gathered (at least) a few positive references.
2020 ... To all the brave travelers in times of the lockdown: I know how you feel! You're out there because you need to, because of a special mission. Let me know how you are doing.
2019 ... Dear Couchsurfers! I'm going offline for a while, because we decided that one of my former couchsurfers is moving in with me. Woo. Hoo. But I hope to be back sometime this year. Now remember: be good to your hosts, write them nice and personal requests, (we're not free AirBnB) and the best way to up your chances: do some hosting yourself if you can! Happy travels and adventures!
2018 * Cyclists and Buddhist monks are always welcome * My profile-text below is really getting outdated... What you need to know: - I love couchsurfing and it has taught me so much about people and how easy it can be to trust, help and connect. It ties in with three of my passions: sustainability/ecology - community building - motherhood. I will try and write a more beautiful and clear profile text here; for now you will have to do with this.
2017 ... A Mum, a researcher and a (non-professional but compulsive) writer, coffee-addict (and can't resist creative, rustic or otherwise interesting café's), tanguera, yogi, love to go for long walks, love the seaside. In 2015/16 I've helped set up a community space in Rotterdam, together with a group of wonderful people. Check it out on fb: Wijkpaleis. Most of summer 2016 I spent in Australia, with my relatives. In october, I had the opportunity to make an amazing journey to Greece and connect to people running for Cultural Capital 2021 in Elefsina. Right now, I'm working on ways to facilitate citizen engagement. Power to the People!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
