CURRENTLY TRAVELING - so I'm not available to host or meet up in Vienna!

Hey there,
I'm an open minded, positive spirited person and like to meet new people and find new connections. I like to travel aside the touristic paths and to learn about the culture and country, I prefer living at places then just visiting.
In my free time I like to cook and spend time with my friends. I also enjoy to be curious about language, origin and similarity as sayings in different languages and cultures. I'm an active person who loves all kind of outdoorsy sports, such as hiking, running, swimming and I absolutely love practicing yoga. It gives me some base and foundation in my life.

I'm in between studies right now. I have finished my masters in chemistry last year in Vienna and will soon start with a PhD in the field of emerging pollutants, such as microplastics in our environment and our bodies. I am so grateful I can contribute something to this world, by being able to working on that much under investigated topic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing to connect with new and local people. I do think "your vibe attracts your tribe", so I'd like to meet up, share experiences and built connections.

Interests

I love to spend my free time in an active way: i enjoy swimming, running and I go climbing. Swimming is for me sometimes like a mediation. With more time I enjoy traveling and also sportive stuff like hiking in the mountains.
But I'm also really into playing the piano and drawing. Its perfect for calming down after a long day.
I love rock music! But I'm not specificly into one kind of music. I think there are great songs in every genre.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are several books I love, just recently read Lessons in Chemistry which I couldn't put down, especially as a chemist myself. One of my favorite movies is definately The Great Gatsby with Leonardo di Caprio, but I do adore the Ghibli movies as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To spot just one is a hard task, so here is a short list:

The northern lights in Iceland - the most amazing experience ever.
Floating in the dead sea - unreal.
Roadtripping Tasmania - probably gave me some of the happiest feelings I ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love ethnic food, the culture behind it and also all different languages. I think its really interesting how everything fits together and draws one whole picture of something. I love to draw connections between different cultures, food and languages and I love to learn all about heritage and tradition.

What I came to learn and appreciate even more here in Australia is the abundant wild life. I am so astounded by what you can find in the forests and in nature, I love to hear all about it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share delicious meals, I love to cook and share the food I make. Further, I am a bit of a storyteller and I can easily indulge in some deep talk and conversations about life, meaning, love and travel.
