My name is Carolin, i am from Germany and currently 19 years old. In June last year i finished School and now i'm using my freedom to travel the places Ive Never been to. So im starting my first big journey in new zealand and i absolutely love it! Though ive worked most of the time i can already say that this country is one of the most beautiful Ive ever been to. I'm traveling on my own in my blue toyota camry which is kinda scary and demands a lot of self responsibility sometimes but is also very relieving and makes me grow at the end of the day when i know i made it to the right place or did everything right to get the job or just improved my cooking(its the little things sometimes...)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing cause it seems like a great opportunity to get to know the locals and the Kiwi life style. Ive already been wwoofing before(worked on a farm for food and accomodation in case you don't know what it is) and it was a really good experience. It feels like you're more a citizen than a tourist. Also I find it interesting to have to live with a different "family" than mine and see how they organise their daily lives with each other. Plus you improve your english a lot. When I have my first own flat in germany i will also invite other people because i'm keen to get to know their stories and their culture which are probably so different from mine.

In my spare time i play a lot of tennis and go running regularly. (Just kinda neglect that in new Zealand...) also enjoy reading, writing, drawing, cooking and playing the piano

I like a lot of rock and older music, for Example Bad company, Rolling stones, jimi Hendrix, the verve and many others. My favourite movies include kill Bill, american beauty, the perks of being a wallflower...and also many documentaries like blackfish or Food inc.. Some books i love are lolita by vladimir nabokov,pride and prejudice and Harry Potter of course

In my opinion germany and new Zealand are two very different countries so we will have a good base for discussion. I can tell you a lot about my little rainy village on the dutch boarder, my friends and our trips to the netherlands. Also i think my cooking and baking is not too bad(but rather asian based than traditional german). Ive been to quite many countries yet so thats another thing i can tell you a lot about
