Overview
About Me
I'm a german med school student.
I love doing Crossfit, go hiking, trying out new outdoor occupations.
Besides working as a paramedic when I'm not at school, I love being a volunteer fire fighter, disrupting traditional images when I drive a fire truck as a girl :)
I like meeting people, but have my fair share of introvert moments. So there may be times, like when I had a full day, where it costs me a lot of energy to be social and I would rather stay to myself.
Right now I'm an intern at the hospital. So I don't really have much free time left.
During the summer of 2019 I traveled across Canada for 4.5 months. I did so much fun stuff on that trip. Kayaking Lake Superior will forever have a special place in my heart. I‘d love to share all my traveling adventures with you. And I am sooooo grateful for all the amazing people I got to meet. That is what makes traveling so special and such a learning opportunity!
What I also feel strongly about is good communication: I prefer having an open conversation about what my and the host‘s needs are at the moment What the plans are and how they might change. That can lead to having a plan that still is adaptable, but everyone is on the same page.
Rather than having to guess and assume and make mistakes doing that. I know there are some cultures that are really hesitant in saying things directly, but I need a certain amount of openness to be able to relax and enjoy my stay, because otherwise I will always second guess everything that is said...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One thing I love about the job as a paramedic is that I get to see how other people live. I get to see them mostly at home without any preparation. And that's so interesting.
So why not use couch surfing to get to know people and how and where they live?

Music, Movies, and Books
Skillet for music,
movie is hard, I'll have to think about that one,
and there are sooooo many good books. (I like the novels by Dee Henderson, Danny Pettrey etc., Chasing Excellence by Ben Bergeron, The Importance of being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, and for all German speaking people: everything from Ferdinand Schirach)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a boarding school and really appreciated the opportunity. It's such a special environment.
