Just your average 20-something trying to find her purpose in life by traveling and helping out where I can. I have spent the last two years volunteering in Alaska (one year at a DV shelter and another at a high school).

I love meeting new people but I am terrible at small talk. Thankfully, I'm a great listener. I LOVE listening to people's stories, especially stories about how people ended up in Alaska.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now, I am trying to figure out my life post-full time volunteering. I am slowly making my way back down to the lower 48 and reintroducing myself to society. I have been known to cry while eating salad because they are so expensive here in Western Alaska.

Once I get a place of my own, I can't wait to pay it forward and start hosting others!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I was on a roller coaster and was screaming for too long without breathing and then I passed out.

Oh yeah, and I moved to Alaska not knowing anyone, living with strangers who became my family, and all while earning just enough money. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about new things! Anything! And learning from others.

My favorite things to do involve baking bread, making home-made pizza, and baking things with my sourdough starter (can you tell I like food?).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider myself a nice, respectable person and will be happy to help out in anyway that I can. I'm pretty great at doing dishes and making homemade bread. I love exploring new cities and listening to people talk about things that they love.
